Who We Are

The Northshire Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Green Mountain Baptist Association (of Vermont), and the Baptist Convention of New England.

Doctrinal Statement - The essentials of our beliefs focus on the authority, inerrancy, and sufficiency of Scripture; the Trinity; the full deity and humanity of Jesus Christ; the total depravity and spiritual lostness of humanity; the substitutionary atonement and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ; salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in the Lord Jesus Christ alone; assurance of salvation; and the imminent, physical return of Christ.

Statement of Mission - Northshire Baptist Church exists to bring glory to God through the discipling of all nations to the Lord Jesus Christ by immersing people into the experienced living reality of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  As this is done within the context of local bodies, believers are taught and trained to observe all that the Lord Jesus has commanded in His Word.

We believe that salvation can be spoken of in three tenses; past, present, and future:

Past: Believers have been saved from the penalty of sin.

Present: Believers are being saved from the power of sin.

Future: Believers will be saved from the presence of sin.

Thus, it is our mission to be involved with God in bringing people to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and then training them thoroughly to joyfully and victoriously face, deal with, and endure all the situations of life, creating within them an assured and expectant hope of glory upon the return of our Lord.
